COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- A Tabor City man is charged with felony assault on emergency personnel after EMTs went to his home yesterday to assist his girlfriend.
Tabor City Emergency Services Chair Mike Worley says Randolph Marcus Smith, 33, tried to get in the back of the ambulance with his girlfriend, and when he was not allowed, he allegedly began assaulting the EMTs.
They and his girlfriend suffered broken bones and other injuries Worley said.
Smith is also charged with assault on a female and injury to personal property.
