WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- A federal judge has sentenced a Columbus County man to nearly five years in prison on drug and gun charges.
Jason Antwan Williams, 26, pleaded guilty earlier this year to possession with intent to distribute marijuana and cocaine, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. The charges stem from an April 2012 incident, in which Cary Police say Williams was the driver of a truck they stopped after it left the area of an undercover drug bust.
Friday a judge sentenced Williams to 58 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.
