Liquor vote passes in two towns, deadlocks in third

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- Should restaurants be allowed to serve liquor? That was the question posed to voters in three Columbus County towns.

That referendum passed 55 percent to 45 percent in Fair Bluff.

It also passed in Chadbourn 53 percent to 47 percent.

But in Tabor City, the vote was evenly split. One-hundred-thirty-three people cast votes for the idea, while 133 cast votes against it.
