COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- A man has pleaded guilty to murdering two brothers in Columbus County nearly three years ago.
The District Attorney says Ronald Bellamy pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of second degree murder for the deaths of Lee Otis Vereen and Jerome Williams.
Bellamy was sentenced to 200-249 months in prison.
Investigators say Bellamy hatched plans to rob Vereen of drugs and money during a robbery on Dec. 12, 2010, when the men were shot and killed. The crime happened in the Ridgeland Acres community near Tabor City.
