WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) -- Trial continues today for former Fair Bluff chief of Police Marty Lewis.

This morning the prosecutor and the defense finished up their cross examination of SBI investigator Adrienne Harvey.
Harvey did the investigation on Lewis before he was arrested.

Prosecutors wrapped up their questions for Harvey by having her identify a series of photographs that were seized from a thumb drive on chief Lewis's desk. Harvey says some of the nude photos are of former town clerk Tamika Packer. The prosecutor Chris Thomas says the photos are relevant because of text messages between Packer and Lewis. Thomas says the photos could have be used in exchange for drugs.

Harvey also identified that these photos were taken at the Fair Bluff police department.

"60 Photos of women in various stages of undress. Including 54 images of what I believe to be Tamika Packer in various stages of undress."

After they finished questioning Harvey they brought alleged drug dealer James Scott to the witness stand. Scott admitted to being a drug dealer. Scott also said he and Lewis had a close relationship. Scott then admitted to buying and selling drugs to and from Lewis.

At the end of today's session they brought the third witness to the stand by the name of Trista Rhinehart. Rhinehart says she lived with James Scott for about a year and a half. Rhinehart says she saw Lewis and Scott interact daily.

Rhinehart says one time Scott asked her to give pills to Lewis at Scott's house. Rhinehart said she felt uncomfortable doing this. The Prosecutor asked Rhinehart why she felt uncomfortable doing this.

"Because he was the chief of police," Rhinehart said.

The trial will continue tomorrow.
