WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) -- The trial for former Fair Bluff police chief Marty Lewis continued for a third day with five more witnesses.
Lewis faces several felonies after being accused of selling drugs on the job.
Earlier this week the prosecutor showed the jury a series of nude photos that SBI investigator Adrienne Harvey identified as former town clerk Tamika Packer. Today Packer took the witness stand.
Prosecutor Chris Thomas says these nude photos may have been used in exchange for drugs. Packer admitted taking those nude photos and giving them to Lewis. She also admitted to getting drugs from Lewis. Then Packer told the jury that she and Lewis were only friends and they did not have a sexual relationship.
After Packer testified a few other SBI agents took the stand and identified evidence including a laptop and pills seized from Lewis. The trial will continue Tuesday.
