COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- A former lawman arrested on drug charges on the job is finally getting his day in court.
Jury selection continues in the case of former Fair Bluff Police Chief Marty Lewis, District Attorney Jon David says.
Lewis was arrested in May 2012. A Columbus County grand jury indicted Lewis for multiple felonies, including conspiracy to traffic prescription drugs and conspiracy to traffic cocaine.
Town leaders later fired Lewis and Town Clerk Tamika Packer, who was also indicted on drug charges.
