WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) -- Columbus County detectives are investigating the discovery of a body found in a Whiteville creek.
The body of a man was found near a swamp on Red Hill Road Monday afternoon. Assistant Coroner William Hannah says the body has now been sent to Raleigh for an autopsy. Hannah added there were no missing people in the area.
